Tandridge Private Sector Access Scheme
Project summary
The Private Sector Access Scheme helps Tandridge District Council to meet housing need. It aims to offer a bond to landlords for households who may not be able to rent in the private sector as they do not have enough money for the deposit or rent in advance.
Clients
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for the scheme you must:-
- Be homeless or threatened with homelessness
- Have a dependent child or children
- be deemed vulnerable by a housing needs officer
- Have a local connection to Tandridge District

- Deposit bond
- Signposting for benefits and debt advice
- Liaising between landlord and tenant
- Free advice on rights and responsibilities of landlord and tenant
- Tenancy sustainment help
How are referrals made
Clients are identified and referred by the Council's Housing Advice Team.
