NHBC, the UK National House-Building Council, have partnered with Crisis since 2019, raising vital funds to support Crisis to deliver our support services for thousands of homeless people. During the coronavirus outbreak they have taken their fundraising offline to continue their support when Crisis needs it most.

'During these strange and unusual times, we have seen building sites across the UK close, work reduced, and some people put on furlough.  At NHBC we wanted to continue our engagement with our customers to ensure that they remain connected, so we’re providing professional virtual training free to all NHBC customers and their supply chains.

Last week we launched our new virtual training programme - a series of free daily webinars - to support the home-building sector during these challenging times. The industry response to this initiative has been brilliant, with hundreds of attendees on each webinar. Delegate feedback has been really positive and it’s clear that people are valuing the content being shared by our experienced and knowledgeable trainers.  This week’s webinars (ranging from 90 mins to 2 hours) will cover Brickwork, Timber Frame, Pitched Roofs, Approved Document M and Approved Document B. Webinars are live and our trainers are very happy to answer questions during each session.

At NHBC, we felt that as the charity sector is seeing a significant drop in donations at the moment, making it harder than ever for them to carry out their vital work, and Crisis, the NHBC Corporate Charity, continues supporting people who are homeless and who have been hit especially hard by the COVID-19 situation, then our customers who feel the benefit from these webinars, and would like to show appreciation for them, could make a donation to our JustGiving page.'
