Wear It Red for Crisis this Christmas

This Christmas, your company can help Crisis support people to leave homelessness behind for good.

The festive season is a time for coming together to celebrate with friends, family and colleagues, but at Crisis, we know that this period can be one of the toughest for people without a safe place to call home.

That’s why for this Tuesday 02 December (‘Giving Tuesday’) we’re calling on our corporate partners across the UK to take part in a new challenge to raise vital funds in support of Crisis’ work to end homelessness:

Wear It Red!

We challenge you and your colleagues to:

  1. Wear red clothing and donate £5 on the day via your company’s bespoke JustGiving page; and
  2. Host a team fundraising activity at your office and/or online.

The goal: raise as much as you can in support of Crisis.

Please get in touch with ella.zamir@crisis.org.uk as soon as possible, and at the latest by Friday 31 October, to confirm your company’s participation and receive your fundraising pack.

In addition to wearing red on Giving Tuesday, you can work together with your colleagues to deliver a fundraising activity that gets your whole business involved.

Whether staff are working from your head office or remotely, we’ve got tons of ideas in our fundraising pack that are guaranteed to bring you and your team mates together on the day to raise vital funds for people experiencing homelessness.

Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. Every year we work side by side with thousands of people, to help them rebuild their lives and leave homelessness behind for good.

This winter, thousands of people across the UK will be sleeping on cold, unsafe streets. Many more will be sofa surfing, sleeping on buses, or staying in unstable and unsuitable temporary
accommodation.

The first day at Crisis is just the start of change that lasts a lifetime. From the day someone gets out of the cold, to the moment they find a safe place to stay, a job and companionship. We know the path might not be straightforward. But with the help of our amazing volunteers, lead workers, and ongoing dedicated support, everyone can find their way. Together, we can make sure
that first day can be the start of a life out of homelessness.
