Charity bake sale inspiration

In need of some baking ideas? Some of our amazing members have shared their favourite recipes and top tips.

Star Baker Cadence ⭐

Last year, 7 year old Cadence chose to bake a difference and raise funds for Crisis as she wanted to help people experiencing homelessness.

With help from her mum, Cadence baked 350 tasty gingerbread treats to sell to her neighbours and at her Brownie group. Cadence did an amazing job of both raising money for Crisis and spreading the word about what we do and how we support people.

A huge thank you to Cadence and to everyone who is choosing to bake to end homelessness this summer, you’re all star bakers! ⭐

The impact of your fundraising: bake a difference

The funds you raise from your bake sale will make a big difference to people experiencing homelessness. When planning your bake sale, think about setting a target to inspire your supporters and give you a collective goal. On average, pages with a target raise 17% more. Why not pick one of the amounts below as your target, to show your supporters how you're making a difference together.

£150

could go towards travel costs for 15 people, making attending a flat viewing or job interview possible, and helping them to start their journey out of homelessness.

£350

could provide 5 people with clothing to stay warm in the colder months or an outfit to wear to an interview, giving them the confidence they need to start their new beginning.

£600

£600 could help 20 people with gas or electricity costs when they’re setting up their new home or struggling to make their bills.
