Football fundraising

Whether you're a lifelong fan or just getting into the game, football can be a great way to bring people together, raise money and help end homelessness. With the EUROs fast approaching, check out our ideas below and join Team Crisis to make a difference.

Hold a sweepstake

Set up a sweepstake at home or at work using our Sweepstake PDF.

  • Print the PDF and cut up the teams
  • Ask everyone to pick their team(s) at random in return for a donation (we suggest £2 per team!)
  • Enjoy the footie and wait for the trophy to be lifted!
  • You could split the donations - half for the winner and half for Crisis, or donate it all!

Set up a 5-a-side tournament

Get a team together and challenge friends, family and colleagues to do the same. Check out PowerLeague or your local football pitch to secure a space. Set up a schedule so teams can play each other until a winner is crowned. Each team can pay an entry fee, and you could also take additional donations for refreshments on the day.

Sponsored swap

Test your loyalties and ask for sponsorship to wear an opposing team's football shirt for the day. See how long you can stand it and donate a forfeit yourself if you can't!

Match screening

Invite everyone over to watch a match. You can provide snacks, refreshments and even some half-time entertainment in return for donations.

Game or stream

If your football skills lay in the virtual world rather than on the pitch, hold an online football tournament on your favourite footie game. Get together in person or stream your competition on Twitch.
