TfL staff raise £36,000 for Crisis

Two of our brilliant fundraisers, Adam and Steve, work for @TfL and have raised an incredible £36,000 for Crisis at stations across the network this year. They share their story.

"As staff working at busy London Underground Stations, I guess we see a lot more homelessness than the average person.

"Everyday we come to work and see them asleep in stations or just outside trying to keep warm.

"It made us want to make a difference.

"We started fundraising at London Bridge Underground Station in our own time.

"We found a lot of customers thanking us and many want to chat to us about the problem.

"As trained staff, London Underground have authorised us to fundraise in various parts of the stations where outside fundraisers are not.

"They also provided us with posters which are a great help and makes a big difference. And we are often able to make announcements to let customers know what we are doing.

"The feedback from customers, the support from Crisis, and the amount we raise give us all the motivation we need to continue."
