Between 2022 and 2024, the McPin Foundation conducted an external evaluation of Crisis Skylights’ Psychological Health & Wellbeing service delivered through the embedded Clinical Psychology team.
This evaluation, steered by a Lived Experience Advisory Panel throughout and drawing on reflections from members and other staff, took a mixed methods approach to exploring and understanding the difference the Psychologists’ work is making for members; both by working with the members directly, and by supporting lead workers and other staff.
Key findings:
- 76% of other Skylight staff agreed or strongly agreed that support from Psychologists has helped them build and maintain positive relationships with members.
- 71% of staff felt better able to support members to meet their needs after consulting with the psychologist in their team.
- 90% of members reported that their relationships with their lead workers were ‘very good’ or ‘excellent’.
- Nearly 80% of scores that members gave indicated that their alliances with Psychologists were high quality ‘very often’ or ‘always’.
