Nextstep Rent Deposit Scheme

Project summary

NextStep works in partnership with Reigate & Banstead Borough Council to assist families and individuals, referred by the Housing Department in need of housing, to secure private rented accommodation.

NextStep also provides housing advice, assistance and access to private rented accommodation to individuals and couples with a local connection to the Tandridge District area.

Clients

Who is eligible?

Those who are over 18 who are:-

• Looking for accommodation in the PRS and cannot find the deposit
• Have difficulties in finding suitable accommodation
• Struggling to find a landlord
• Are in housing need

Client services

• Guarantee Deposit Bond in place of a cash deposit
• Assistance with tenancy paperwork
• Liaising directly with the landlord
• Help with finding accommodation
• Tenancy support
• If required assistance with benefit claims
