The South Ribble Borough Council Guarantee Scheme aims to help people who are in housing need to find a property in the private rented sector by offering a written bond up to a maximum value of £550 - instead of a cash deposit to landlords

Clients

Who is eligible?

To be eligible for the scheme you must be homeless or threatened with homelessness; aged 18 or over; on a low income or receiving benefits; have little or no savings; be capable of living independently and have a local connection to South Ribble.

How are referrals made

It is necessary to attend a housing options interview to apply for the scheme and you will be asked to provide evidence regarding your situation at the time of the interview. Funding for the scheme is limited, so even if you meet all the above criteria a bond cannot be guaranteed.
