Join our campaign to end all forms of homelessness in Scotland by 2040.
Join the campaignScotland has strong rights in place for people experiencing homelessness. But more people are being forced from their homes every week.
The upcoming election in May 2026 is our chance to change this. Scotland can end all forms of homelessness by 2040 – we just need a bold commitment and the political will to act.
By doing this, we can create a country where everyone has a safe and stable home. A society that’s thriving because we can all take better care of our health, relationships and work. We can end homelessness for good.
The election is our chance to tell political parties across Scotland they need to act. Because getting our vote will depend on it.
Scotland already has a plan to deliver enough housing for everyone by 2040, but that alone will not be enough to end homelessness. We need to combine plans to build enough houses with changes to public services, so that people at risk of homelessness get the help they need, when they need it. Over three parliaments, we can put in place the measures needed to end homelessness by 2040, and make sure it doesn’t come back.
By basing that commitment in law, we can make sure it stands the test of time, so that future governments keep working to deliver.
Homelessness can be ended in Scotland by 2040 by:
Building enough genuinely affordable homes
Giving people better support earlier on, before they become homeless
Committing to long-term funding to make this happen
Ahead of the election in May, we need every party to back our call to end all forms of homelessness by 2040, with commitments in their manifestos to deliver a future free from homelessness.
