Crisis Midwinter Swim

Take an icy plunge and help end homelessness once and for all.

Cold water swim tips
No one should face homelessness, and winter can be the hardest time.

Could you brave the cold? Leap into an icy outdoor lido in the dead of winter and raise money for Crisis.

Swim solo or make a splash with friends in a relay team.

But why stop there?

Go the extra mile – get friends and family to sponsor your icy challenge. The more you raise, the more we can help people leave homelessness behind through our life-changing services this winter and all year round.

Yes, you are welcome to bring spectators, if they could give a donation to Crisis when they arrive that would be great!

This event is closed to anyone under the age of 16 years old.

If your children are between the ages of 16-17 years old they are welcome to jump but please email swim@crisis.org.uk to express your interest. A parent/guardian will also need to be present on the day.

If your children are over 18 years old they can register online through the links above.

Please let the lifeguard know when you arrive and make sure you jump in at the shallow end of the pool.

There will be refreshments available at all of the swims.

Please send an email to swim@crisis.org.uk to let us know. Your registration fee is non-refundable.

You can only register one person at a time.

If you would like to take part in the relay, select ‘relay’ on the registration form and enter your team name. Only four people can take part in a relay team. Members will need to sign up individually, selecting the 'relay' option and entering the same team name. If you need to change members of your team around, that is fine, just email us at swim@crisis.org.uk before the event.

You can wear whatever you feel comfortable in as long as it is light weight, so this could be a swim suit or fancy dress. There is usually a lot of people wearing onesies!

There will be a fancy dress competition in Pontypridd so dress to impress!

These will be handed out on the day when you arrive.

Please wear a warm set of clothing that you can change back into after the swim.

Bring a towel

And finally money. There will be a raffle on the day at the London events and a place to buy hot drinks.
