Aston Dance recently held an incredible Strictly Come Aston Dance Competition to raise money for the Crisis Skylight in Birmingham.
Each dance couple included one partner from the Dance Club and the other from a different sports society who has never danced before.
The group said:
Aston Dance decided to choose Crisis as our charity of choice as we believe the work they do to end homelessness in Birmingham is so important, especially in light of the current cost of living crisis. Homelessness is sure to be on the rise and we hope the money we raise will make a big difference.
Crisis staff were delighted to be invited along to event. Charlotte, Community Fundraiser at Crisis, said:
Myself and the Crisis Skylight Birmingham staff were so thrilled to be able to attend this event and nominate our own "Charity's Choice Award" to our favourite contestants. The whole evening was fantastic with such talented acts, and it was great to see so many students supporting Crisis. Thank you so much to Aston University Dance Club for choosing us as your Charity of the Year and for being fabulous fundraisers!
A huge thank you to Aston Dance from all of us here at Crisis - we're so inspired by your amazing fundraising!
