Crisis at Christmas

We mobilise a unique volunteer effort each Christmas to bring warmth, companionship and vital services to people at one of the hardest times of the year, and offer a starting point out of homelessness. This is only made possible through the collective effort and generosity of thousands of volunteers, individuals, community organisations and companies who donate money, time, skills, goods and services. 

About the role

 You will deputise for the Kitchen Leader and support with overseeing a small team of 3 volunteers in planning and preparing hot meals for either delivery or sit-down meals to our Crisis members. You will also coordinate with the driving team to ensure the delivery process runs smoothly. We are looking for kitchen leaders confident in managing the fast paced delivery service environment and in organising/prepping for the following day.  Please note if you sign up to 23rd December you will be prepping the food and kitchen for the delivery service which runs on 24th & 25th December. On 26th December you will be preparing food for people in house at a sit-down meal and on 27th the event is finished event is finished so you will be clearing-down the kitchen.
