Fundraise in celebration

You can dedicate your special day to raise money for Crisis. Whether it's a birthday, graduation, wedding or retirement, your event could help someone to step out of homelessness for good!

There are lots of ways you can use your birthday to celebrate for Crisis, including:

  • Asking people to make a donation to Crisis instead of buying birthday presents. You can set up a birthday fundraiser on JustGiving or Facebook. For hints and tips about getting your fundraiser started, visit our Get Started page!
  • If you're having a party, you can order collection tins, posters and gift aid envelopes to encourage people to donate. You can get fundraising materials here and email us at fundraise@crisis.org.uk - we're always happy to help and talk through ideas!
  • Shout about your fundraiser on social media to let people know what you're doing and how their donation will help people facing homelessness. We have images you can use on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and JustGiving in our digital resources library.

We are so grateful when our supporters dedicate their wedding day to Crisis. It's a wonderful way to raise both money and awareness:

  • Ask people to make a donation to Crisis instead of buying wedding gifts. You can set up a wedding fundraiser on JustGiving or Facebook. For hints and tips about getting your fundraiser started, visit our Get Started page!
  • Let people know that you're supporting Crisis on your wedding invites. You can download our logo from our digital resources library!
  • Instead of wedding favours, you could make a small donation on behalf of your guests. Please get in touch at fundraise@crisis.org.uk if you'd like to do this, we'd love to help you with letting your guests know!
  • Get in touch at fundraise@crisis.org.uk to order gift aid envelopes so your guests can donate on the day!
  • If you receive any duplicate wedding gifts, you could consider selling them online and donating the proceeds to Crisis.
  • You can also use your wedding anniversary or engagement to support Crisis - we have social media resources for all these occasions in our digital resources library!

Births, graduations and retirements are all great occasions that you can use to fundraise for Crisis:

  • Set up a fundraiser for your event on JustGiving or Facebook and ask for donations instead of gifts. For hints and tips about getting your fundraiser started, visit our Get Started page
  • If you're having a party or event, include your fundraiser link on your invitation. You can also download our logo from our digital resources library.
  • Get in touch at fundraise@crisis.org.uk to order gift aid envelopes so your guests can donate on the day!
  • Shout about your fundraiser on social media to let people know what you're doing and how their donation will help people facing homelessness. We have images you can use on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and JustGiving in our digital resources library.

Bride and groom holding Crisis certificate

Our amazing supporters Aishah and Antony decided to ask their wedding guests to donate to Crisis instead of buying wedding gifts and raised an incredible £1,000.

Aishah and Antony said:

We wanted to exchange our wedding gifts with Crisis donations as we felt that we have everything that we need when we start our new life as a couple. We hope our donations (though small) will help contribute to ending homelessness and give someone a fresh start instead. This would be the best wedding gift for us :)

Thank you so much to Aishah and Antony, and all our other supporters who fundraise in celebration for Crisis!

Let people know that you're fundraising in celebration and encourage them to donate to your special day!
