Crisis at Christmas operates a network of temporary day and residential centres across London providing services and support for over 3,900 homeless and vulnerably housed people. The massage service at Crisis at Christmas is one of the most popular services, helping guests to feel relaxed and ready to engage in the other services at the centre. We are looking to put together a team of volunteers who would like to take on a little more responsibility for the smooth running of this service.
You will work within Crisis’ busy Community and Events fundraising team, supporting them in delivering a new mass participation event. This new virtual event will see people across the UK take on a 50-day challenge in aid of Crisis. This event relies heavily on social media.
The Harlesden Community Hub is a drop-in advice service that is being delivered by Brent Council in conjunction with Crisis Brent for members of the local Harlesden community. Your role as Hub Support Volunteer will be integral to supporting the working of the Harlesden Community Hub. You will offer support to the Hub Co-ordinator on reception through giving members of the community a warm welcome to the Hub and helping them to find the assistance they are looking for. You will also provide valuable IT support by assisting clients with basic IT tasks, internet searching and filling out forms.

We are looking for people with experience of homelessness who want to contribute to the work of Crisis. You will meet as a panel of Experts by Experience to discuss and inform the work of Crisis. This will ensure that the perspective of people with lived experience of homelessness is a core part of Crisis and included in how we develop strategies, policies, planning and how we engage people with our cause.
Shop from Crisis, Camberwell will be our fifth shop. Opening in March 2018, we are looking for enthusiastic volunteer retail assistants to provide a welcoming and helpful service to our customers in the shop, as well as various retail tasks.
We are looking for a group of friendly and enthusiastic volunteers who love engaging people to ensure existing and potential Members and local community know about Crisis’ services. The volunteers will promote Crisis in our partner organisations and outreach locations across Croydon.
